About Institute
Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) was established
as an, undergraduate institution for M.B.B.S. degree course
in March 2001 with intake of 100 medical students annually
under Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur C.G. funded by State
Govt. of Chhattisgarh. It was run by the state University
under ministry of higher education, govt. of C.G.
The old govt. district hospital (Dharam Hospital-350 beded), Bilaspur C.G. was converted in to the CIMS’s hospital with 300 beds and all staffs of district hospital were merged.
Course Affiliation
MBBS course is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and affiliated to the Chhattisgarh Ayush Medical University, Raipur.

It is mandatory for students to attend all functions of the College Annual function, Sports Day and Quiz etc.
College Annual Function
Annual function (RHYTHM) is celebrated every year in the month of February. Degrees are awarded to the successful Under Graduates and awards are also given to the meritorious students. A report containing highlights of achievements of the Institution is distributed on this occasion.
About Library
Central Library
College Library is one of the best libraries in Country and having sufficient number of text books in all subject books reference books, national and foreign journals in each subject, online journals, Internet Access Wi-Fi, and many more.
It has more than 9000 book and 70 Indian & 30 foreign journals available as on date. Separate sitting arrangement for students (100 + 100) and faculty members are available.
